With absolutely no hesitation for the premier of Full Moon Rising Magazine, the Goddess Morgan Le Fay tapped my shoulder and requested that She be celebrated in this issue. Her reason was clear: May 1 is the celebration of Beltane and this is one of many powerful days when the doors between the worlds pry apart, making all of the magic of the Isle of Avalon, available to all of us. Triple Goddess Morgan Le Fay is said to be half sister to King Arthur and apprentice to Merlin. Her herbal magic is equal to none. Queen of the Fairy Realm and Queen of the Sea, She stands on the shores of Avalon, the Island of Apples, where magic, healing and knowledge await us all. In the movie "The Mists of Avalon," Morgan Le Fay is portrayed as a pagan Priestess and heroine. As such and so much more, She remains beloved today. It is said that She maintains a castle near Edinburg, fully staffed by fairies and also that She rules a fairy paradise near Mt. Aetna called Mongibello. As if this isn't enough to fill Her days, she also rules an underwater kingdom near Brittany and of course, She remains Queen of the magical isle of Avalon. We can draw close to Morgan Le Fay by acquiring the stone for which she has a keen affinity, Aquamarine. Should we care to specialize in a specific magical art, we might choose to endear ourselves to Morgan Le Fay (or ask her assistance and blessing upon our studies) by choosing healing and purification, two of Her own specialties. As well, she presides over The Great Rite and other magical acts associated with the female elements. For centuries, it has been told that drinking water blessed by Her can be a cure for whatever ails you. Morgan shows us the way through all of life's winding paths, through all of our own obstacles and road-blocks by blessing us with inner strength, wisdom, intuition and clairvoyance. Allow Her to do so and she can clear the way for all who call on Her. Morgan Le Fay awaits with her arms wide open, standing on the shores of Avalon... Simply close your eyes and take a deep breath... inhale Her magic and recite this prayer: Magical Goddess Morgan Le Fay, immerse me in your Silver light of knowledge. Simply stand with the Goddess for as long as you like, relaxing and basking in Her ancient wisdoms, Her guidance. She will stay with you always on this, your path to empowerment.
